Canada Post/CUPW negotiations update

MAY 17, 2011 – Canada Post has launched a dedicated website to providing the latest information about labour negotiations with the Canadian Union of Postal Workers. Anyone interested in reading updates, or wishing to receive the updates by email or text can visit www.infopost.ca/customer.

The website will be updated quickly and regularly and will include any 72-hour strike notifications. The earliest date that CUPW could go on strike remains Wednesday, May 25. CUPW held a press conference on Wednesday, May 18 to announce that both parties had yet to agree on a collective bargaining deal. At this time, meetings between Canada Post and CUPW aimed at reaching a new agreement continue.
