Hear inspirational ideas from around the world at INK+BEYOND this April

Over twenty different publishing experts from Poland, Sweden, Africa, the U.S. and Canada will congregate in Toronto on April 26-27 for the 93rd annual national newspaper conference. INK+BEYOND speakers will share insightful ideas and practical expertise on a range of publishing related topics, giving delegates from a variety of backgrounds the tools they need to find success in a rapidly evolving market. The robust conference program features targeted sessions for all newspaper departments including editorial, design, digital, advertising and marketing, as well as corporate level leaders.

Highlights include:

BUILDING COMMUNITIES ACROSS CHANNELS: An opening plenary presentation by Grzegorz Piechota, news editor at Polish daily newspaper Gazeta Wyborcza. Piechota will show how his newsgroup used a variety of media channels to increase print circulation, drive online traffic, stimulate audience engagement and bring in new revenue.

TABLETS AND SMARTPHONES: EXPLORING MOBILE: Sweden’s Otto Sjoberg, founder of Media(r)evolution and INMA’s European chair, will offer proven success stories from around the world and show newspaper delegates how to capitalize on the power of the mobile market.

RWANDA: THE CHALLENGE OF SPEAKING THE TRUTH: During this very special breakfast event, Collin Haba, president of the Rwanda Journalists Association and managing editor of the country’s only English daily newspaper, will inspire audiences with his presentation on the challenges of journalism in Rwanda.

This year’s INK+BEYOND conference will also feature a number of networking opportunities, awards galas and an expanded industry trade show where delegates will also have an opportunity to view the latest products and services on offer from exhibitors from Canada and the U.S.
