Finalists revealed for 2013 Canadian Online Publishing Awards

The Globe and Mail and Toronto Star lead the newspaper finalists in the Green division at this year’s Canadian Online Publishing Awards (COPA).

Both daily papers have been nominated in seven different categories at the annual digital publishing competition, including best website design, best blog and best infographic.

Other newspaper finalists include La Presse, National Post and Winnipeg Free Press who each received four nominations. Metro has been nominated in three categories and Edmonton Journal, Montreal Gazette and Vancouver Sun earned one nomination each.

The competition also honours digital publishing excellence among consumer magazines and websites, TV, radio, digital and business-to-business media.

A summary of all the newspapers nominated for awards has been provided below.

The final winners will be announced at a special cocktail reception hosted in Toronto on Wednesday, November 13.
