Former Shelburne Coast Guard editor Leonard Pace dies at 72

In Nova Scotia, long-time Shelburne Coast Guard editor Leonard Pace passed away on March 21 at age 72. Pace began his journalism career in 1968 as a reporter at the Daily News in St. John’s, Newfoundland. He worked for the Chronicle-Herald from 1969 to 1974 and joined the Shelburne Coast Guard as editor in 1986. He was at the helm of the TC Media community paper until 2004, taking a hiatus from 1989 to 1982 to work on a freelance basis. He was the third longest serving in the paper’s history.
