It’s your time to shine! Gain ultimate exposure and industry recognition by entering the 2011 Canadian Community Newspaper Awards.

Formerly the Better Newspapers Competition, the annual competition is the only industry awards program that recognizes outstanding community newspapers on a national level, honouring the very best in editorial, photography and multimedia initiatives.

Newspaper publishers and staff are invited to submit work in over 25 award categories including Best News Story, Outstanding Columnist, Best Business Writing and Best Multimedia Feature. Blue Ribbons are awarded by judges to all General Excellence finalists and others deserving of honourable mention. Click here to view a complete list of all award categories.

The Canadian Community Newspaper Awards are open to all CCNA member newspapers in good standing as of December 2010. Enter before January 12, 2011 for your chance to win a voucher for up to $1,500 to use towards the cost of attending the 2011 INK+BEYOND conference in Vancouver, BC.

The final entry deadline is January 21, 2011. Finalists will be announced on Monday, March 14 and the awards will be presented on Friday, April 29 at INK+BEYOND.

All entries must be mailed along with fees to 890 Yonge St., Suite 200, Toronto, ON, M4W 3P4.  Packages postmarked or shipped before midnight on January 12 will qualify for the early bird draw.
