Coalition of press freedom groups bestow dubious honour on Treasury Board president

News Media Canada, in partnership with the Canadian Association of Journalists, Ryerson University’s Centre for Free Expression, and Canadian Journalists for Free Expression have awarded federal Treasury Board President Scott Brison with a dubious honour this past week – a Code of Silence Award.

Brison was given the award for what the organizations view as the failure to improve federal access to information legislation.
