Ruling cements media’s right to access exhibits

The latest edition of The Press and The Courts highlights an Ontario Appeal Court decision that casts into stone the media’s default right to access exhibits in court cases. The current issue of the bi-monthly legal roundup also includes several video exhibit cases and a comment column from the Toronto Star’s Rose DiManno.

The Press and The Courts is now available online for all CNA/CCNA members. Members can contact cdorn@newspaperscanada.ca to request an email subscription. Subscriptions are available to non-members at a cost of $125 per year plus tax.
