Expanded INK+BEYOND program includes many value-added events

In just two weeks, hundreds of delegates representing daily and community newspapers from across the country will congregate in Toronto to attend INK+BEYOND 2012. In addition to innovative speaker presentations and educational workshops, this year’s conference program features a number of value-added activities including an expanded trade show, networking opportunities, prestigious awards galas and two additional industry conferences.

Many of the events are open to all registered INK+BEYOND delegates while others are subject to an additional charge.

Great Idea Awards Luncheon
Celebrate innovative newspaper marketing and advertising as we honour the winners of the 2012 Great Idea Awards at a special luncheon on Thursday, April 26. The presentation ceremony provides an excellent opportunity for newspapers to showcase their award-winning entries and learn from other publications about their successful promotions and campaigns. The luncheon is free for all registered INK+BEYOND delegates.

Speaker Breakfast – Rwanda: The Challenge of Speaking the Truth
Eighteen years after the 1994 genocide in Rwanda, the country has made remarkable progress in various sectors including news media. During this very special breakfast event on Friday, April 27, Collin Haba, president of the Rwanda Journalist’s Association, will lead an inspiring presentation, offering delegates a rare glimpse into the challenges faced by journalists in Rwanda.

INK+BEYOND takes place at the Fairmont Royal York Hotel in Toronto from April 26-27. For complete program details, hotel information and to register visit www.inkandbeyond.ca.
