Postmedia’s national sports columnist Cam Cole is retiring after 41 years in the newspaper industry. Cole began his sportswriting career at the Edmonton Journal in 1975. After two decades with the Journal, he joined the National Post newsroom in Toronto as the paper’s principal sports columnist. He relocated to the West Coast in 2005 and has been with the Vancouver Sun ever since.
Cole won the Sports Media Canada George Gross Award for Outstanding Sportswriting in 2004 and in 2011, becoming the first two-time recipient for the award.
