Newspapers Canada releases 2013 Daily Newspaper Circulation Report

In 2013, Canada’s daily newspaper circulation (paid and free) stood at 5,655,572 copies on an average publishing day and 33,832,752 copies over the course of a week according to the latest circulation report released by Newspapers Canada.

There were 93 paid dailies in Canada last year and 19 free dailies for a grand total of 112 daily newspapers. A number of newspapers moved from a daily publishing schedule to a weekly frequency while some of the free distribution dailies ceased publication.

The 2013 report is now available online and now breaks out paid and non-paid circulation by paper for a more detailed view of circulation by market.
