Brunswick News implements hard paywall for its newspaper sites

New Brunswick publishing company Brunswick News Inc., owned by the Irving family, has set up an online paywall system for its 19 newspapers. Websites for 10 French-language weeklies, six English-language weeklies and three English-language dailies, including the St. John-based Telegraph Journal, are now behind a "hard" paywall, meaning no online content is available for free.

Brunswick News had experimented with an online subscription service several years ago but discontinued the model.
