Toronto Star to shift advertising sales to Metro

TorStar has announced that it intends to reorganize advertising sales operations for the Toronto Star by outsourcing the newspaper’s advertising sales to Metro English Canada. Metro will become the main point of contact for advertising sales for the Star and Metro brands, as well as for other Star Media Group properties.

The restructuring is part of “a continued effort to create a sustainable business model for the Toronto Star of the future,” said Star publisher John Cruickshank.
