Social media is most effective for communicating with friends, not advertising

Recent new car buyers, like other demographic targets, overwhelmingly use social media for communicating with friends and sharing photos and videos.  Advertising, for automotive or other products, is not what new car buyers are looking for on social media.  In addition, about a quarter of new car buyers, boomers and Business Decision Makers are not even using social media. Nine of out ten Millennials use social media, just not for looking at advertising.
