Le Devoir receives Registered Journalism Organization designation

Montreal-based Le Devoir announced this week it has been granted Registered Journalism Organization status, which means it can now issue tax receipts for donations.

The tax measure was introduced by the federal government in 2020 as a means to support Canadian journalism.

Le Devoir is the sixth media outlet in Quebec to receive the designation.
