In 2016, there were 1,158 newspaper titles in Canada that circulated 49.9 million copies per week. The newspaper industry in Canada accounts for $2.3 billion in advertising revenue. Research shows that nine out of ten Canadian adults read a newspaper in print, online or mobile format every week.
